Timothy J. Spear
Senior Vice President, Regional Manager, Eastern Region
Timothy J. Spear is the Senior Vice President, Regional Manager of EMPLOYERS’ Eastern Region. Spear previously served with AmCOMP Incorporated (AmCOMP) as a regional president—a role he assumed in 2006. He initially joined AmCOMP in 1996, assisting with marketing efforts, and in 1997, became manager of the Southeast Region’s Loss Control Department. In 1999, Spear was named co-manager of the Field Underwriting and Marketing Department for AmCOMP’s Southeast Region. In 2003 he became Vice President of Field Services for AmCOMP’s Mid-Atlantic Region. In addition to his Field Underwriting/Marketing responsibilities, Spear oversaw the Mid-Atlantic Region’s Audit and Collection Department. Before joining AmCOMP, Spear spent two years as a Loss Control Underwriter with FCCI Insurance Group, followed by four years in various capacities with another Florida domestic workers’ compensation carrier. Since earning his B.S. in Occupational Safety from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Spear has accumulated over 17 years experience in the workers’ compensation insurance industry.
