EMPLOYERS® Named Workers’ Compensation Carrier of Choice for Illinois Restaurant Association

RENO, Nev. – October 23, 2018 – EMPLOYERS®, America’s small business insurance specialist®, has been named the workers’ compensation carrier of choice by the Illinois Restaurant Association (IRA). The association is comprised of active restaurant and hospitality owners and managers, based in the state of Illinois. Eligible IRA members can now receive a 5 percent discount on their workers’ compensation premiums on policies placed with EMPLOYERS.

Additionally, EMPLOYERS offers IRA members who become policyholders a suite of services, including claims management and loss control resources, through Loss Control Connection®, EMPLOYERS’ web-based loss control platform, fraud prevention and managed care services. EMPLOYERS also offers customer service with a 24/7 Injured Employee Hotline, payment plans and competitive premiums.

“We are thrilled to have partnered with EMPLOYERS on behalf of more than 26,000 eating and drinking places in the state of Illinois,” said Sam Toia, president, IRA. “The 5 percent discount on insurance, as sold locally by our members’ agent of choice, will provide a much needed relief as operating expenses continue to rise.”

“At EMPLOYERS, we are committed to meeting the unique needs of the restaurant industry, which is the largest class of business at EMPLOYERS,” said Ray Wise, Chief Sales Officer, EMPLOYERS. “IRA members can choose from any EMPLOYERS appointed agent to gain access to the program. We believe giving members a choice of agents across our strong national network will add to the value and success of this exciting new program. Just like the IRA’s commitment to its members, our core focus is providing policyholders with information and tools to successfully operate and grow their businesses. We are pleased to join together with the IRA to provide its eligible members with valuable coverage and quality services.”
