These Important Disclosures (“Disclosures”) apply to your use of this Workers’ Compensation Premium Estimate Tool (“Tool”), which is powered by artificial intelligence and operated by Employers Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively, the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Disclosures are intended to supplement the Company’s Privacy Statement and Terms of Use, each available at EMPLOYERS Insurance (together, the “Website Policies”). In the event of any inconsistency between these Disclosures and the Website Policies with respect to your use of this Tool, these Disclosures shall govern. For all other interactions with the Company, its websites, products, and services, the Website Policies continue to apply in full.
By using this Tool, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Disclosures and the Website Policies.
Artificial Intelligence Disclosure
This Tool is powered by artificial intelligence. You are interacting with an automated AI system, not a human insurance agent, underwriter, or Company employee. The responses, calculations, and premium estimates generated by this Tool are produced by AI technology using computation and algorithms, with limited or no human involvement in individual interactions. Nothing in your interaction with this Tool should be interpreted as personalized advice or a professional recommendation from a licensed insurance agent or underwriter.

Information We Collect and How We Use It
When you use this Tool, we collect the following categories of information that you provide: (ii) number of years in business; (iii) primary state and zip code of business; (iv) employee count; (v) estimated annual payroll; (vi) workers’ compensation classification code; (vii) desired policy start date.
In addition, certain technical information may be automatically collected during your use of this Tool, including device identifiers, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, and interaction data.
We collect the information stated above for the following purposes:(ii) to facilitate your request for an official quote through Cerity, should you choose to proceed with obtaining a quote; (iii) to improve our products, services, and customer experience; (iv) to support analytics and operational functions, subject to applicable law; and (v) to comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations. We will not use the information collected through this Tool for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.

Third-Party AI Platform
This Tool operates on the OpenAI ChatGPT platform. By using this Tool, you acknowledge that information you enter is transmitted to and processed by OpenAI, LLC (“OpenAI”), a third-party technology provider, in accordance with the Company’s agreement with OpenAI. OpenAI provides the AI infrastructure that powers this Tool.
Under our agreement with OpenAI, the information you provide through this Tool is not used by OpenAI to train or improve its AI models. OpenAI processes this information solely to provide the services described herein, subject to contractual restrictions on use, disclosure, and retention. Sharing of Information
We may share the information collected through this Tool with the following categories of recipients for the business purposes described herein: (ii) our affiliated insurance carriers or servicing companies, including Employers Assurance Company, Employers Compensation Insurance Company, and Employers Preferred Insurance Company, Employers Insurance Company of Nevada, Cerity Insurance Company, and EIG Services, Inc., for underwriting, rating, and policy issuance and/or servicing purposes; (iii) OpenAI, LLC, as the third-party AI platform provider that processes information to provide your premium estimate, as described in Section 4 above; (iv) service providers that assist us with analytics, technology services, and business operations, under contracts that restrict use of your information to the services provided; and (v) regulatory agencies and bureaus, as required by applicable law.
We do not sell personal information collected through this Tool. We do not share personal information collected through this Tool for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Automated Decision-Making Technology
This Tool uses automated decision-making technology (“ADMT”), including AI and algorithmic systems, to process the information you provide and generate a premium estimate. No human underwriter reviews your individual inputs or the resulting estimate within this Tool. The estimate is generated using computation that processes the data fields you provide against rating algorithms and classification data.
Your rights regarding automated decision-making: Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to: (ii) opt out of the use of automated decision-making technology for significant decisions concerning you; (iii) request human review of a decision made by automated technology that adversely affects you; (iv) correct any inaccurate information that was processed by an automated system in making a decision concerning you; and (v) appeal an adverse decision, including by requesting review by a qualified human decision-maker.
Because this Tool provides only a non-binding estimate or insurance indication and does not make coverage or eligibility decisions, you may exercise these rights in connection with this Tool by correcting your inputs and regenerating an estimate, or by contacting us using the information in Section 9 below. If you proceed to obtain an official quote through Cerity and a coverage or pricing decision is made using automated technology, additional disclosures and rights will be provided at that time as required by applicable law.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal information under applicable state and federal privacy laws. These rights may include: (ii) the right to access and obtain a copy of your personal information; (iii) the right to correct inaccurate personal information; (iv) the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable exceptions; (v) the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; (vi) the right to opt out of targeted advertising; (vii) the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects; (viii) the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and (ix) the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
The availability and scope of these rights varies by state. To learn more about the rights available to you or to submit a request to exercise your rights, please contact us using the information in Section 9 below. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
If we deny your request, you have the right to appeal. To submit an appeal, contact us and include the word “Appeal” in your communication. If we deny your appeal, we will provide you with information about how to contact your state’s Attorney General or other applicable regulatory authority, if applicable.
Data Retention and Security
We retain information collected through this Tool for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and to support our legitimate business operations. When information is no longer required, we will securely delete or de-identify it in accordance with our data retention and destruction policies.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information you provide from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
