EMPLOYERS® Recognized by American Heart Association as a Fit-Friendly Worksite
RENO, Nev. — April 4, 2014 — EMPLOYERS® (NYSE: EIG), America’s small business insurance specialist®, was recognized on April 2, 2014 by the American Heart Association as a Gold-level Fit-Friendly Worksite in Northern Nevada. This means EMPLOYERS:
- Offers all employees physical activity support at the worksite
- Has increased the number of healthy eating options available at the worksite
- Promotes a wellness culture at the worksite
- Embraces at least nine criteria as outlined by the American Heart Association in the areas of physical activity, nutrition and culture
The Fit-Friendly Worksite Recognition program is an award given by the American Heart Association that is intended to be a catalyst for positive change in the workplace. It recognizes worksites for making the health and wellness of their employees a priority.
